Cancer Information Display on Final Night at RIM

The Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Centre has partnered with KW Oldtimers Hockey to share information on our Final Night, March 22 via a display of information in the lobby of RIM. This information will be specific to colorectal cancer, a significant health issue that is the second most common cause of cancer death for men in Ontario. A campaign is targeting the demographic of oldtimer hockey players, and that has our attention. The good news is that it is 90% curable when found in early stages. After age 50 your risk increases. It is recommended men and women age 50-74 participate in colorectal cancer screening. Most people are able to do this screening test through a simple 'at home' test once every 2 years. Please visit www.cancercare.on.ca/colon or www.coloncancercheck.ca for more information on how to get an 'at home' test. Cancer Screening Saves Lives!
